Common Questions
What does the compliance score measure?
It checks your key landlord obligations: EICR, gas safety, EPC, fire risk assessment, licensing, and the new Renters' Rights Act written information requirement. Each item contributes to your overall score.
What score should I aim for?
Aim for 80+. A green score (80-100) means you're compliant. Amber (50-79) means some items need attention. Red (below 50) means you have critical compliance gaps that could result in fines.
What fines do landlords face for non-compliance?
Fines vary by item: up to £40,000 for missing EICR, criminal prosecution for expired gas safety, and up to £7,000 for not providing the RRA written information. Tenants can also claim up to 24 months' rent back through Rent Repayment Orders.
Is the compliance score saved?
No. Your answers are not stored unless you choose to email yourself the report. The score is calculated entirely in your browser.
